Had another mechanic come over he quoted me 1k so I’m like I’ll wait. Plus dude didn’t know shit about e30s. I know my normal dude will come thru it’s just a waiting game. I’m gonna pick up the Bentley guide tonight. I just need to connect with a local who can help me out for a good price or an embarrassing tattoo idk I’m ranting I need to get back to work. But yes fun fact I have 0 tatts. When the free30 is finished maybe i get a celebratory one.

Good news my mechanic had finally finished renewing his vows with his wife! Now he can get back to focus on the project haha!
Never have I been happier for 2 people in love!!! Now please get back to my e30!!
Updates coming soon I believe here in the next couple weeks we might be going back with everything!

I believe that hose goes to the purge valve connecting to the charcoal canister.

There is some info here on it, looks like you might be able to replace that bit with some regular fuel hose:
