Pinion Gear swap Type 188 diff
So i have a Problem with my Type 188 Diff.
It's from a junkyard, Type 188 of a Z3 (Housing and cover fit the E30 axle). Bought off ebay a Pinion gear and ring with a 2.93 ratio for a Type 188 which presumably came from a (E23/E24/E28/E30 etc) I tried fitting it in but it seems somewhere i messed it up. The pinion gear and the ring gear mash up fine, but the outputshafts wont align with the carrier
maybe i did not press the pinion gear far enough into the housing? Or are the 188 gears not interchangeable?
Im considering bringing the whole thing to a BMW Dealership :(
