    E30 M50 no crank Issue

Hello everybody, so I have an m50tu out of a 1994 325i, with a g260, and late model 325i flywheel shaved and what not. Anyways, I'm running my old starter, from my '88 325. I got my harness adapter from Garagistic yesterday, and I plugged it in since that was the last thing I needed to crank this thing over. My dash lights lit up for the first time in 7 months, and then I went to crank and nothing happens. No clicks nothing. I've checked the starter wires three times, I'm getting 12v to the starter I have two ground straps. I'm super confused. Car is an '88 325. Thanks for anyone that can help.
