Hey guys, I'm trying to decide what expansion tank to go with and I'd be interested to see what setups everyone else has. I've basically narrowed it down to 2 locations,
1. Empty space behind the passenger side strut tower
2. Where the washer bottle is now, and swap to an iX washer bottle
It looks like an early E30 or E30 M3 reservoir would fit behind the strut tower no problem, so that is probably the most simple option. I've also been considering going with a reservoir designed for another car since the BMW ones are stupid expensive. I can get a random Dorman one for a GM car for like $18, so I don't really see the need to go with a BMW one, and I don't want to buy a used brittle 30 year old piece of plastic. Any thoughts or other things I should take into consideration with placement? I'll be using this with a Z3M S54 rad, and of course and S54 engine.
