    That might be a 2x8..
    It might be stuck well into the ground..
    It might be able to handle X pounds of pressure before it slips or cracks...

        First time I have seen an e30 as such, but have seen pics throughout the years with cars propped up like that.

          Issues of personal safety aside, how damaging would that be to the wheels and suspension? Would your fluids leak out everywhere?

                Wheels and suspension should (note: should) be fine if it's lowered down super gently. Has the chance of bending arms but E30s aren't heavy.
                If the dipstick or oil cap isn't done up tight it could leak out of there. Brake and clutch should be fine.
                (Again, note this is all should, not having tipped a car on its side I can't confirm from actual experience
