funny, that's one of the reasons my car doesn't even *have* a backseat anymore.

Ok that kills my plan for trading this iC for an iX to build an evo killer, well not actually boost doesn't care how much my curb weight is. But this once against lets me know how much lighter that guys gutted 325is with the rolls bars is than my cabrio.

This argument on 4 door E30 being more rigid than the 2 door E30, is it proven???
I always thot that the 2 door E30 is more rigid...

As for the E36, I know it's proven that the 4 door E36 are more rigid than the E36 coupe...

the 4-door is more rigid because there's a large strong B pillar that needs to hold up a door. the weight difference isn't much as you would think, because the door on the 2-door is larger & heavier than the ones found on a 4-door, narrowing the expected weight difference a little

sure the 4-door has "an extra pair of holes in the side" like Tangent said, but like i said above, because the doors need something to mount to, a B-pillar was put in place that not only holds the doors up but contributes to structural rigidity

also, the doors are not much different than the side panneling thats behind the large door of a 2-door... so there's not much extra weight there, either... and the glass?... well, a 2-door has glass behind the doors, too.... just no motor & track to move it up & down.

and the handle mechanism doesn't weigh much either

basically at first i can see how alot of guys would think that a 4-door would be significanly heavier than a 2-door... but the more you think about it, the more common sense will prevail & tell you that yes, there is definitely a weight difference, just not quite as much as you would think

As for weight distribution, i'm gonna venture a guess & say that the difference would be very negligible, but the 4-door would probably have a slight edge if there was any difference at all
Wow...read much? Yes it is, as you say it, proven. It's physics.

Boning in a four door I can see being easier. Boning in ANY E30 I can't see at all. You people must be short...I'm 6'0 157lbs and would NEVER being able to bang in my car. Lucky you.

Wait...why would you ever want to have sex ina car to begin with....it sucks.
