They don't require any welding, but will give you extra room to adjust if you modify your struts.

Since when do you not have to weld the front collars on?

It's not a requirement, they aren't going to go anywhere if you don't weld them if you aren't cutting the stock lower spring seat away. It does make for a cleaner look, so yes you should pay someone to do it or do it yourself if you know how.

I dont view anything done half assed as being done, so welding is required. :)

In that case, yes I agree :) Goes w/o saying for pretty much everything, don't half-ass or you'll be doing stuff over later.

What front strut mount do you need to run 2.5" springs?

If you are not going to run these with camber plates you can use the supplied hats together with the oem strut mounts.

So tempting, but I'd have to sell my IE3s that are brand new still in box, and then shell out 60 more. Hmm

hey jean. can those of us that live local not pay for shipping and pick them up. i know the ground control shop is like 15 mins from my house.

also my brother said he could possibly get some of his volvo buddys from turbobricks in if it is cool with the ground control guys. that would make it easier to get 10 people.

I'm down for both the camber plates and conversion, if I sell some stuff. lol.
I'll post an update sometime this weekend, saying whether or not I'm definitely in.

I have H&R race i want something firmer, what would be the best spring rate and spring length to go with? to get rid of my front fender gap.

IIRC H&R Race is about 300front/600rear, so maybe 500front/600-700rear would be a good upgrade for you. You may also want to try to run with rear sway disconnected, something worth a shot as it's easy to try. You can adjust the height easy to get rid of the fender gap, but you don't want to go any stiffer on the off the shelf bilstein sports imho if you are going super low.

I got an answer. No local pick-up since GB is going to be done as a batch, and limited to BMW only.
