    BACKGROUND

My father purchased the car on BaT in May of 2017 (https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1991-bmw-318is-19/) and it was shipped to Indianapolis, IN where he lives. He drove it very rarely and only around town (maybe 500 miles) during the summer. Upon delivery, he addressed a few issues and had a local, independent BMW shop make the repairs (see below). The car was then stored for winter.

In May of 2018 he decided to sell the car, so I bought it from him and had it shipped to Milwaukee, WI. The car is on a clean Indiana title. It has never been driven in rain or snow and was stored for both winters under our ownership.

I drove the car sparingly in the summer of 2018 (less than 1000 miles). The engine began making noises last summer as the timing chain and tensioner were failing. I immediately stopped driving the car and had a great local, independent BMW mechanic that knows E30s very well address the issue before damage was done to the engine. Extensive work was done to address the issue along with other parts getting updated or replaced while doing the work (see below).

I just took the car out of winter storage and had the local independent BMW shop change oil and go over the car for a full safety inspection. The car is located in Milwaukee, WI.

Gorgeous. I adore the interior. I’d love to find a set of those seats to put in mine.

There is no rust or rot on the car. It was in TX and AZ from 1991 - 2017. And while it has been in the upper Midwest for the past two years... it has never been on snowy or salty roads.
