Thought it was time to start a build thread for my new project car. This thread is really just to monitor progress, as I enjoy seeing that sort of thing.
Goal:
Picked up the car (1987 325es) and a garage full of parts for $500.
I have an iX that I daily, and a built Evo that I drive on weekends, so my goal for this car is to have a gutted, caged, N/A, fat tire, loud, and fun car that I can beat the balls off of without giving much concern.
No AC or heat. Plan is to keep PS.
Weight goal: 22-2300lbs w/o driver
Power goal: 300whp
Motor:
Stock bottom end 302 with some GT40p heads (aluminum if I can find a deal), a cheap FRPP cam (B or F), and a GT40p intake, run through a T5.
Suspension:
Whatever coils I can find used. Preferably GC setup with Konis. Solid bushings in everything. Strut tower braces. Frame reinforcement.
Wheels:
16x9 +25 Varrstoen V3
245/50 Nitto NT01
Build will be slow, but the chassis will be finished (suspension/gutted/etc) first.
