Finally assembling my bottom end and hit a snag. Been test fitting my standard sized Beck/Arnley replacement rings. Top 2 rings are perfectly within spec from the Bentley at about .016" all rings and cylinders.
The oil rings are the 3 piece type. I test fit the slim top and bottom oil rings and I'm seeing end gap of double the limit, .040"ish for all of them in all the cylinders. This seems odd considering my other rings were dead on. Any thoughts on this?
