They had some serious discount deals going on in my area for a few weeks now. I have been picking up a lot of shit from the side of the road.

                So far:
4 washers(clean/fix and donate working ones)
3 driers(fix or donate working ones)
                1 refrigerator("didnt work", was dirty plugs(works now))
                1 stove(works)
                2 hot water heaters (scrap)

If its free, its for me! To an extent...

Glad you added those last three words. If this was the nonsense thread we could really figure out where the limit is.

be careful with the valve cover. I polished mine and tried a clear powder to protect it, but the aluminum is porous enough that oil permeated it over 15+ years and every time they baked it the powder would fish eye. after three attempts they threw in the towel.

The valve cover Im powder coating was previously done, the put it in a chemical bath to clean it. I plan on using a ultra sonic cleaner to really deep clean it.

That's got to be one big ultrasonic cleaner!

Helps to preheat the parts to out-gas before coating. I chemical clean, media blast, bake, maybe blast again (since oil will come out of the pores), then coat and bake. If it wasn't bakes before you started polishing, then the oil vapors would come out during the process. :(
