    FS: 1988 325is, OBD2 S52, 5-lug M3 + +s Bay Area, CA

    Fellow r3vers,

Reducing price this week so it can actually sell. $7000 firm.

Up for sale is my street legal 1988 332is. I will summarize the car to a certain extent simply because the car has SO SO SO SO SO SO SO MUCH work done that even i don't remember. I've had e30's for 8years. I did all the work for you. Saved you over a thousand man-hours easily between research and build. The whole car has been built be me, with my bare hands, 98% of it by myself in my garage. I'm also a mechanical engineer that designs motorcycle engines so i know a thing or two.

A warning - you are interested in this car because you are probably going to paint it, and likely track it due to its interior.

    Lets begin with the Engine:
    Shaved Engine Bay
    Tucked Wiring Harness
3.2L S52 - rebuilt ~ probably 3000-4000mi on the street and 10-15hours of track time. At about 1000mi, i did a leak down to check break-in. Two cyls had 2%, the highest was 5%. Doesnt get any better than this. I took many hours building the engine. I even timed it with a gauge and timing wheel to BMW spec rather than the less accurate timing blocks and lock pin on the flywheel. Right now, engine doesnt even go through one complete revolution to start. It runs beautifully stockupgrade
OBD2 - some may know me as the creator of the OBD2 Wiring Kamasutra thread revealing the how-to wire OBD2. Anti-Theft works with the e36 chip key. Its awesome.
$200 Baffle welded in oil pan - no ticking, ever!
Oil Cooler - 2QT or so with a 180*F thermostat on -8AN lines. Oil capacity is about 8.5qts
Oil Temperature Gauge - electric mounted inside.
Oil Pressure Gauge - electric, mounted inside.
    e36 Aluminum Radiator
16" Spal Electric Fan - Switch inside next to Gauges
Solid Aluminum Engine mount that I designed and sell too.
Reinforced Front Surbframe with Turner reinforcement kit - TIG welded.

Note - i built the car while in Florida. It never overheated there. Here in the Bay Area i rarely have to turn on the fan.

    Exhaust
    Custom.
    Aftermarket Headers.
e36 M3 Cats - car actually already passed Smog, but needed visual
I mean fully working OBD2, from engine check light to having all 4 working O2 sensors and all emissions devices installed. Needed charcoal cannister located on the stock position, but that's where i have the OBD2 FPR so idk what they want. Maybe some $.
After Cats it Y's to a single 2.5" going to a Borla XS Pro muffler.
The sound is exquisite, no raspiness, and its on the quieter side because of cats to not draw too much attention to myself.

    Drivetrain:
    ZF (e36M3) Transmission, 5sp
Sach's e36 M3 OEM (sprung) clutch - makes it super easy to drive. Perfect even with track use.
    14lb Chromoly Light Flywheel
    e36 M3 driveshaft
3.25LSD - same gearing as an e36 M3 in other words

    5-lug:
Stud Kit on all 4's with extra studs and lug nuts
    e36 M3 Fronts / 318ti Rear
Both e36 M3 OEM Sets of Rims:
    4x "DS1" Rims 17x7.5 - R-compound Nitto NT01 235/40-17 ~ 70% thread left.
    4x "DS2" Rims 17x7.5 - i don't remember what tires, but healthy
    2x 328is Rims 16x7? - i don't remember what tires
    2-4 spare tires!
New Wheel Bearings - lucky i already did this for you before moving to CA 1.5yr ago.

    Brakes:
    Rebuilt Calipers 6mo ago
    Wilwood Brake Bias Valve
HT10 Fronts with NEW ROTORS - okay, they have a track day on them, but are still new. This car is so light it barely consumes brakes. Took 3years to go through Hawk Blues.
Hawk Blues Rear, slotted brakes. I would say they are about 1/2 way there.
I tuned the brake bias for the NT01 tires on the track to maximize the use of the rear brakes. Regardless of what people say "e30 rear brakes are useless" i beg to differ. Makes a HUGE difference.
I have yet to experience brake fade a track. Brakes are overly done.

    Suspension
Koni Top Adjustable shocks all around.
    8/10kg/mm (450/550lb) Ground Control Coilovers
Kmac Camber Plates toe & camber.
All bushings upgraded, solid on Differential.
Recent Control Arms ($$) and tie rods.
    Corner Balanced at Roebling Road.
Last alignment in June/July - have alignment sheet too.

    Interior
More gutted than a gutted car can be gutted to its gut's guts.
FIA Sparco Seat - Homologated 2013 or 2014
FIA 6point Camlok Harness from G-Force. Also 2013 or 2014
Like new still, you can get them extended for 2years more. I bought these together and new.
Passenger seat is an used Sparco seat, very similar to the driver's seat.
5 point camlok harness. Both FIA homolagated, but expired.
Still good for passengers on DE, autoX everything short of a sanctioned race.
Totally and utterly Gutted. Like nothing besides functional dash gauges switches lights etc.
No sunroof/frame, drier, AC ducting, sound deadening. Nada. Zip. Even the Sunroof was Skinned.
Magnetic numbers 0's and 3's on roof for use on your door.
Harnesses connect to bases on the back seat frame for proper angle.
I would probably suggest a cage or roll bar, depends on your use.

Paint is a 4/10. Cheap because of this factor. Paint it. Or enjoy it as is like i did for so many years.
It actually doesnt need much body work. Its pretty straight.

Everything is works beautiful on this car.
Thought i tracked this car for many years, i took very good care of it and NEVER beat on it. Not at the track. See my track videos. Look how smooth i am, how soft i shift. I let the car do the work because its fast all on its own.

Example, a Spec e30 will go around Thunderhill Raceway in roughly 2:25-2:30 (with turn 5), i do it 2:04-2:06. Faster than many 20x better cars. Grip and brakes are astonishing in this little thing.
Laguna Seca in ~ 1:45-1:47 and that was just my first and only time there.
    Older Videos:

Please come see the car. I may be open to trades for a car for my wife.
Reason for sale: i'm tracking motorcycles now, rarely drive this car. I commute it work every now and then, like today, and its an absolute blast to drive around. Sometimes i'm bored and just got hit some twistiest that i would normally go on my motorcycle just because i feel much safer and more in control. I have yet to be outperformed.

This is a car to be driven and enjoy. Its solid, i built it like a tank. Reinforced in structurally questionable areas. Reliable. Proven performance and a 15/10 rating on the fun factor. All go, no show.

Whatever i missed feel free to ask, or come see for yourself.

edited: Price $7000 - firm. Was hoping to sell for 8-9k.

if you buy, i'll split the gas of both vehicles (one if towed) in the name of encouraging business. Just let me know. Hell, spend the weekend up here. Choose between gas or a cheap hotel ; \

would like to sell sometime SO, price at $7000 now. Its pretty firm at that point tho.

this is what the engine swap and rebuild parts cost in just parts alone.
add 5 lug, track brakes, suspension, extra rims, extra tires... the car... hundreds of hours. I can easily part it out and get much more money, but i no longer have the garage space i used to have when i built her.

anyways - call # above and come get her.
                    No more e30s for me.
