I bought a driver's side Scheel-Mann seat a week ago, Model 500, in black corduroy. It's in good shape, too. Cushions and bolsters are still holding l
up, but the center fabric has a few holes in it. Luckily, the Scheel-Mann USA distributor is here in Portland(!). I went by today with the seat and he's going to order me a couple of square meters of original fabric. They have a limited run of the Retro 400 model, which looks similar to mine but shaped a little differently. It's also $1,500. Mine was $400. Not a bad price, really (for either).

It'll be replacing my stock e30 seat ASAP, but I need to fabricate some adapter plates. The seat came with a set of adapters made for a 2002/e21, I believe. I'd rather not modify those, so angle iron it'll be. If there's anyone in the Portland area with a trashed stock driver's seat, I'd like to take a couple small parts from the bracket mounting. How do I rotate the damn pics? I'm using an Apple II-C ;)
