    GB - Ground Control stuff

    Hello,

Is there interest in Ground Control coil-over kits and camber plates? If we can get 10 people committed we are able to get 10% off the list prices. You would be able to specify what spring rates you choose, and also for camber plates need to specify what shocks you'll be using.

NOTE : This group buy is not organized by Ground Control. I am organizing this as GC does not offer Group Buys at this time.

The following information is directly from the Ground Control Store page with the description of the product only.

    Camber plates - http://www.ground-control-store.com/...p/II=142/CA=97

Ground Control Racing Camber / Caster Plates More camber adjustment than stock, caster adjustment, aircraft bearings, engraved with calibrated degrees, with stainless steel reinforcement. Every component is anodized or plated, including fasteners. Adds extra travel to avoid excessive bottoming out, this is a very well engineered product. The stainless steel reinforcement prevents electrolysis between the steel fender and the aluminum camber plate.

Camber and caster are separately adjustable by sliding the mounts, without removing any components from the car. The priority of this design is to allow fast, repeatable alignment changes at the track.
The Ground Control camber plates feature two sets of bearings, a proprietary bearing, made to our specs by Aurora in the USA, which allows for articulation of the shock shaft. This spherical bearing is very understressed, as the Ground Control design does NOT support the weight of the car on the spherical bearing. Instead, the weight of the car is supported by a completely separate articulating needle bearing, which is also manufactured for Ground Control in the USA.

    Coilover kit - http://www.ground-control-store.com/...p/II=121/CA=98

    Description:

This kit fits E30 84-91 years with stock, Sachs, Boge, Koni, or Bilsteinshocks (please specify shock type before ordering)
    • removal of stock spring seat and welding optional for added tire clearance and range of adjustment
    • trimming of stock spring seat allows added range of adjustment frt.
    • Expected ride height change from 0 to 1.75 inches
    Ground Control Spring Kits
This spring kit gives you the option to customize the ride height of your vehicle. After several years of use in racing applications, Ground Control spring kits have been adapted for street use. Most other spring kits offer only one set ride height when installed. The Ground Control system's unique design allows for easy adjustment. Simply lift the corner(s) of the vehicle that you wish to adjust and spin the adjustable spring seat up or down to raise or lower the vehicle*. Ground Control spring kits are also designed to be used with either stock or aftermarket shocks.
*Some applications require the use of a provided wrench.
Springs: We are pleased to announce that Eibach has chosen Ground Control as the west coast distributor for their ERS (Eibach Race Spring) line of springs. All of our ride height adjustable kits now exclusively feature Eibach springs. All racing and street/show spring rates are available. All Eibach springs offer a lifetime warranty against spring rate change and sagging.
Adjusters: All adjusters consist of a threaded sleeve and adjustable spring seat. And are made using high strength 6061-T6 aluminum; anodized for greater durability and appearance. The threads on the adjusters are square cut which locks the adjustable spring seat in place under load. For further precaution, a setscrew in the adjustable spring seat can be used to secure adjustment. Upper spring perches are used to insulate the spring.
Ground Control works very hard with Eibach USA to make these springs to the standards that you demand. Lifetime guarantee on everything, not just springs. No excuses about "racing" or "special". If anything fails, while being correctly installed, it will be taken care of, period. We can only have a guarantee like this because every single part of the Ground Control Street coil-over kit is made by us or someone we trust. None of these parts are made in Taiwan. Everything is made in the USA.

i want to be in on this group buy. I have e36 m3 front struts and their outside measurement it 53mm, not the 51mm that is mentioned with e30 struts.

there is no nut in the top of the e36 m3 strut for holding the insert in place.

I'm in for some coilovers! Are you referring to these Jean? http://www.ground-control-store.com/...p/II=121/CA=68

You had a set for sale recently right? What springs rates would be best for the vert?

Yes, same ones I had. I sold them as I am buying another set with stiffer rates, my application is a dedicated autox car so the rates I am going with (700 front / 900 rear) are too stiff for DD and also require custom valved shocks.

400-500front / 600-700rear is bareable for a DD / AutoX car. It's up to you though.
