With OP's post there shouldn't really be any questions. Control towers are control towers. DO NOT get Q towers or rail grabs. You just need to make sure you have the correct landing pad for our hardtops.

I've kept this A6 around since it swallows 10' 2x4s but this makes more sense. What I'm seeing is this minus local hardware:

Control towers $79@pair so $158
#4 Landing pads 39@ pair so $79

W free shipping it's $443. Is that what people are paying or is there a source Im not seeing ?

i took some pica of what has been delivered so far i havenet recieved everything yet and a couple of items were purchased on my gf account as my paypal was down for a wk

Fact is, back when I thought spending a fortune on cars was fun (it truly was) I traded my 911 for a 550i cause I needed a roof rack.

by the way jeff which 911 did you have? im in love with the 930 turbo but unfortunately i missed the boat on them because they command 100k plus these days

I had an 04'911. Fun car but I spun it on an off ramp. Got lucky that time but decided that was enough

Thanks man, I did one thing different though. I used the factory screws and just used a 5/8th (I have to double check) deburrowing bit to widen the hole enough for the oem screw to fit through. I'll grab a pic of the bit and one of the landing pads so people can see what I mean.

Thank you for this though, feels good to have a hardtop AND a bike rack.

I used a 5/8th countersink bit. I messed up on my original post. I obviously didnt go all the way through either. Just enough where there was still enough plastic so there was no worry about it being too thin and breaking. I would take a pic of it but I don't have access to my car ATM (in the shop).
