Blower Fan Question

I have a 91 318i and the blower fan for my heater/AC decided to implode the other day.

I've helped my buddy replace the one on his 89 325 ix and after removing my wiring harness cover it looks completely different. I've searched up and down and there is nothing for in terms of a write up for a 91 318i. I don't want to tear anything apart without a little knowledge since its my wiring harness.

Anyone have any info on this? Is it all the same? Am I insane?

There are some phillips screws to remove and some 6mm? hex head fasteners. It's NBD really, just keep looking for fasteners, and set the relay group/diagnostic connector aside as you are working without disconnecting anything.
