    Swapping the Sealed Beams for US Ellips

    has anyone does this?
    Oreo... says it isnt a direct swap and there needs to be work done to the wiring soooo is there any write up or how to's??

      Why do you want to do this?

      I ditched my ellips. a long time ago and installed the Cibie E-Code lights....huge difference.
      Set of 4 cibie headlights will set u back about $250

          is that total cost including necessary hardware & bulbs? i have a feeling i'm gonna go for hella h1/h4's soon

            The cibies will have to work with the stock non ellip housing. So if you have the sealed beam, then just swap out the housing and use the cibies. i cannot remember if they came with bulbs but the bulbs are rather cheap.
            My lows are H1/H4 and my high beams are H1.

            you will need the 5 3/4 e-code lights. They have a few versions, flat face or the regular ones.
            Wiring was easy for me, i just spliced my ellips wires into the sealed beam plugs and it works like a charm.
