Best way to remove broken timing cover bolt ?

Any suggestions on the best way to remove a broken bolt?

Its the top left long 10mm bolt on the upper timing cover.
Its most of the threaded tip and it is not sticking out.

It is bolt #5 on this realoem

How deep is it in the hole?
I would start with removing the little plug so you have better excess.
If it's not too deep in there, I would try and chisel/hammer it out.

I had to drill it out, and the hole is pretty trashed . I've never done any machine work but it looks like it's time for some thread repair.

I recently broke the same bolt off. I just slotted it with a dremel and used a flathead screwdriver to reverse it out. It was about 1/4 inch from the surface. Nothing to worry about if you need to slot it (unless you are concerned about the aesthetics of it)
