    5-lug Swaps

I was thinking earlier today about 5-lug swaps on E30s. It just seems like it is more complicated than it should be. A while back I had to replace my front wheel bearing and rather than get the bearing removed and the new one pressed in by a shop I decided to just replace the entire hub. Thinking back on it I was wondering why not just use a technique used on wheels and fill/redrill the hub.
After thinking about it more I realize that there is most likely a reason nobody fills/redrills them, but is there a reason that something similar could not work? Perhaps the hub assembly from another car that is 5-lug could fit on to the E30 spindle, or someone could simply machine a new hub to fit a stock E30 bearing but different enough to accomidate a 5-lug setup, surely there would be enough of a market for this that if it would work it would be profitable. Is this idea simply absurd?

Oh, my bad. I tried searching, but I couldn't find anything on it. Anybody got a link to it? I'd like to read through it.

Not gonna ask why you have that pic saved, and if it isn't, I am not going to ask why you searched fat chicks.

I am tempted to pretend I am into that, but I am already trying to un-see that and I just can't bring myself to tell quite that large of a lie.
