I did some research and bought an ADS interface chip and wired it to a round connector for the engine. Installed inpa and changed ediabas.ini from OBD to ADS and using my laptops serial port running Windows Vista. When I connect cable to engine and run inpa, turn on ignition only the Battery light on inpa changes to on, the ignition light remains off. I then select e34 engine, and get an error message IFH-0009 No Response From Control Unit, after pressing ok I get another error Apicheckjobstatus: error #95 sys-0005 object file not found.
Anyone clued up on this, and can offer advice? I only want to see if there are any engines codes.
