    FS: Rare 88 SuperETA w "i conversion. Riverside Ca

    Well, I knew this day was coming...... time to let my baby go. All work was done by myself using only BMW parts. I bought this car in NJ like 6 years a 112k on it. It became my project car it received a lot of attention and time from me. It's been well maintained as I am a mechanic and e30 enthusiast.

    Motor: This is an 88 SuperETA. It has been converted to an "I". Dual valve springs, cam, intake, ecu, maf etc. So it is actually a 2.7 version of the 2.5. Bigger is better. It passes ca emissions. The engine parts/bay were cleaned and painted as I went. I made a beefy skid plate for it. No cracked oil pans for me!!

    Exhaust: this has a one off custom muffler made by myself. I literally hand made and tuned a stainless steel muffler. It uses stainless baffles so there is no packing to go bad. This thing sounds great. It has an very "adult" sound to it. It's not some stupid loud crappy muffler. It makes some noise and sounds good, but not to much.

    Trans: it was an auto when I bought it. That's was dumb, so swapped in a 5 sp w a short throw shifter.

    Steering: The steering rack started leaking so I swapped in a short ratio rack from a 96 z3. It's the smallest ratio rack and is linear. This was one of the best mods I did. Makes it feel like a go cart. I also rebuilt the rack w new seals so it's good to go for a long time.

    Suspension:H&R sports w Billies. E36 solid cab's. Fresh bushings everywhere.

    I installed rear subframe alignment kit so you are now able to align the rear tires. It doesn't eat tire at all.

    Body/exterior: super clean Zinno paint. I swapped it plastic bumpers. It was given a high quality paint job about 3 years ago. I never once took this to a gas station car wash. This was hand washed religiously. However since coming to Cali some uninsured woman hit me and I didn't get it fixed. It's not that bad. But still ticks me off. It's the passenger rear corner and tail light. I also installed keyless entry and it has 2 fobs.

    Interior: THE DASH IS NOT CRACKED!! It has black vinyl seats. I found some good sport seats for the front. The driver seat has some wear though. M-techII steering wheel. Leather shift boot w wood knob. The pedals look like AC schnitzer style.

    Wheels: keskin kt1. These are OZ futura knock offs. I stripped and refurbished them. I polished 130 stainless steal 1/4 bolts to install in them. I have some custom smooth center caps as well.

    It has about 175k on it now. I have loads of extra parts. ECU, maf, Kamotor cai, icv, seals, o rings an lots of small bits. I have the paint from when we spayed it so if you wanted to fix the rear it'd be easy to match color. It's starting to have a few small things it needs. Two windows don't work, one needs a motor, one is wiring. The abs light is on because of a wheel speed sensor.

    This thing was absolutely mint 3 years ago. Everything worked flawlessly. No dash lights etc... Since moving to Cali I don't have the time to keep up on it like I used it. It's still very very very clean but needs a few small details.


    Since this car/motor is rare and perfect for boost due to its lower compression ratio and is pretty stinking nice, I'm starting the price at 7,000. Please call/text since I'm never on this forum anymore. 845-645-8nine97

                    Mid "I" conversion. Just found my notes, I did the conversion back in 2113. Not a single magor problem. Oh yeah just remembered I used the e36 4 pintle green injectors.
