    Fs: 4.10 LSD

Just did a 5-speed swap on my iS and have an extra diff laying around from switching down to a 3.73 LSD

    1989 325is
4.10 LSD (Tag indeed contains and "S")
    Had 197k miles when pulled
Filled with Redline 75w90 (LSD fluid)
    Medium Case

Gear lash/hum/whine was minimal before pulling (had to roll windows up and turn radio all the way down and really concentrate to notice it)
    Worked perfectly before pulling

    Located in Sacramento CA, 95843
Looking for local sale, shipping will be on buyer's expense

Picture will be posted as soon as I get it from my buddy's shop
    No leaks, just super dirty

    $260 shipped CONUS
    $200 picked up

    Will trade for:
    - Bosch Euro Smilies + OEM Euro Grilles
    - 16x8 Style 5s

Can you use the Med size 4.10's on 318's?

I believe they use the same mounting points, but am not 100% sure. I would think so as 318s have the same chassis and subframe, so yes; as far as I know: it will fit

This would definitely be an upgrade from the small case as they are rated for less torque/HP

Sorry but could someone explain what a medium case is? Not interested in buying, just curious.

m42 drivelines (4-cyl) had a small case diff, which refers to the outer casing of the differential; it has 6 bolts between the main diff casing and the cover, and because of its relatively small size (hence "small-case" diff) and thinner casing walls, is rated for no more than 200 Torque/HP before blowing seals/diff housing. I've heard even m20 guys having problems with small case diffs

m20 drivelines have a medium case diff, which has a thicker outer casing and a total of 8 diff bolts between the casing and the diff cover. It is rated for much more torque and is more durable due to more bolts holding the seal and a thicker case. Many other cars have diffs that are rated medium size that can fit the e30 (Z3, e36) by swapping diff covers to an e30 cover

BMW used 3 different diff sizes; Small, Medium, and Large.
