    are my viscous diffs boned?

I've picked up an iX touring recently that's had a lot of questionable things done to it. All the iX stuff in unknown condition and I've been trying to shape it up.

I'm trying to figure out if I need to prioritize a differential swap since I have most of the driveline out right now.

Both my front and rear viscous 4.10 diffs behave like open diffs up in the air - absolutely no resistance. Is this normal? How can I measure the health of the viscous couplings? I'm not super familiar with viscous differentials.

    Thanks

Front is an open diff ,rear lock one wheel and it should be hard to turn other rear wheel in neutral

Alternatively, put it in park or 1st, jack the rear end up and try to turn one with both off the ground. A good VC will be stiff.
