    FS: 1990 325i s52 OBD2 swap project

The time has come for me to sell my e30 project. My circumstances have changed and I have to let this car go. Car is in Boise, ID

The car is a 1990 325i calypso. I purchased it with 230,000 miles on it. The engine threw a bearing at about 245,000. At which time I started a s52 swap. I’ve done a lot and will attempt to show the meaningful things I have done.

Swap is an OBD2 s52 from a 1997 m3. Approx. 160k on the motor. The Getrag 5 speed is from the same M3. ECU was tuned by Dave at Markert Motor Works in GA. Rev limiter was upped to 7200, EWS delete, 91 octane, removal of rear cat, and top speed limiter, OBD1 manifold conversion. E32 booster with remote e21 res. Wire harness was from the m3. Has a 2.93 LSD (I think, could be 2.79) with m3 drive shaft. The exhaust consists of the original cat to a Borla muffler. The car will start, and I have driven it about three miles. The brake situation prohibits the car from being driven safely and it will need to be trailered/towed.

The car has bad paint, and is dinged in a few places. The driver door has a ding from a car dolly loading mishap. There is a small ding in the rear between the rear bumper and the trunk lid. There is no rear seat, and it has leather comfort seats currently in the front. The kick panels are not installed on the driver side. Dash is cracked. I replaced the driver fender a few years ago and repainted it, so the color doesn’t perfectly match but is pretty good. The front valance is rough, My plan was to run a zender front end so I didn’t really mind. I removed the extra brackets and such from the engine bay and sprayed it a grey color. It had cosmaline all over so I felt I had to do something.

    Current condition of the swap/project

The booster rod needs to be shortened so the brakes are not kept engaged when pressing on the pedal. The o2 sensors are not installed (I have new NTK sensors)
The tach doesn’t register the RPM of the engine
    Cooling fan isn’t wired up
Fuel rail isn’t bolted onto the manifold (I have the correct pieces to do so and run the beauty cover)
Wire harness for the headlights fogs and all that good stuff isn’t back in place.
    Needs an alignment
Beauty cover needs installed to hide engine harness
Ecu needs mounted (new correct brackets are included) and glove box installed
I'm sure there are other things I don't know about.

New items replaced during the process/included. All parts were OEM or equivalent unless stated
All gaskets relating to valve cover, intake, and front of engine, oil pan, exhaust, oil stand etc.
    Spark plugs
    Re-threaded brown coolant temp sensor
    Exhaust studs and nuts
    KA Motors intake
OBDI to OBDII manifold adaptor plate
    NTK oxygen sensors
SS headers with O2 bung relocated to clear firewall
Condor solid bushings for tranny and engine
    Flex Disc (giubo)
    Center support bearing
    Coolant reservoir
    Water pump
    Spal fan, relay and fuse
    Coolant sensors
    Acc. Belts
    LUK flywheel
Sachs clutch, throw out, and pilot bearing
All shift pins with genuine parts
    Rear seal
    Oil filter
Redline oil in engine, tranny, and LSD
    Replaced output seals in LSD
    Control arms (lemfoerder)
Low profile control arm bushings (ebay versions of treehouse green ones)
Solid shift rod and new bushings
    Z3 shifter w/ new cup
E30 m3 beauty covers for the wiring
Red 46 s52 swap skid plate
    E36 rack
    Sway bar bushings
    Sway bar end links
Correct brackets to mount up ecu
    Clutch slave
    Intake boot
    Thermostat
    Throttle cable

Additional goodies the car has/comes with

RX7 calipers that I rebuilt with Mazda parts
    New pads
Meyle Corrado rotors that were machined to fit e30
Adaptor brackets from the guy who originally was selling them

Brakes are VERY powerful with the e32 booster/ rx7 caliper combo.

Ground control coilovers. ix Koni sports in the front with KYB Camaro shocks in the rear. Spring rates are rather high as I recall. Maybe 550/650 or somewhere in there. The housings were cut, so it rides rather L O W.
    M-tech 2 rear spoiler
New is side skirts, left side is installed, right side is not.
M-tech 2 steering wheel. The splines in the wheel are a little missed up, haven’t tried to make it fit yet.
    Euro smilies
    Euro grilles
Set of euro weaves and caps
    Euro plate filler
New HIDs in a 4500k or so temp
    Solid rear diff mount

I’ve got a few boxes of miscellaneous stuff too. Couple cans of color matched two stage paint in rattle cans. Don’t really know what all is in there.

Please shoot me a PM or text (208.867.0040) with any questions you might have. If I don’t know that answer I’ll see if I can find it as quickly as possible. I’m selling it as a project and want to be as upfront about the issues as possible. I’m not looking to part it out at this time and I’m not interested in trades.

I’m asking SOLD $5,000 OBO I've got way more into it, but if this number is way off base I'd like to hear it.

Photos of the car how it sits right now will come tomorrow in the light. For now here are some older photos of the car.

Video of it running before driving it a few miles. Sorry for potato quality
This is my s52 with raceland headers, to stock e30 cat, to borla muffler. There are a few exhaust leaks at this point.

Thanks Austin! I'll be back in an e30 at some point. There is a lot of change happening in my life and worrying too much at the moment.
