    Diving board questions

    good afternoon all.

After you tuck your diving boards. How do you make the black trim surrounding to fit and warp nicely into new board length? Does it require cutting?

I thought about going Euro bumpers but the price is just out of my range at the moment. LMK your thoughts

You really don't need to trim the surrounds. I'v done this years ago on an old car and aside from the fact that the shrouds were a bit wavy on their own, the length was still alright.

If I remember the gap is fairly large. I think most just live with it till they get a bumper swap. You could try a heat gun to close it up a little, but be careful not to melt the plastic.

If you don't tuck them all the way in, the gap isn't so bad.

depends on the condition of the trim in the first place. i tucked mine and the gap isn't terrible. its not more than a 1/4 inch but its def not flush up against it. going from the original diving board to the tucked, even with the small gap its an improvement.
