Yes,its still no power monster, but also yes,you CAN remove the limiter!

Agreed, If you look up m10 history BMW used them for F1 because the blocks were so bulletproof.

because the motors in F1 were stock...

I'd suggest new rocker arms before you start spinning too high. they're the first to break.

not that this thread is relavant anymore but...id remove the redline and see where you can r3v to without breaking shit everytime. the engines are a nickel for 2 dozen anyway.

When did BMW use a M10 for F1?

There is a BMW Motorsports Race only engine called M12; its what was used in the 80's for mega boost F1 and e21 group5.

                Notice:

                DOHC head
                Giant Turbo
                GEAR DRIVE conversion
                obviously DRY SUMP

                OBD1 M54/M52TU swap as a M50b25

Z4 non powered steering rack fits e30

                Euro e46 2005/6 320d 6mt gearbox into E30 with M20 hardy and beck 1985 327s engine

                        Not really at all.

nothing at all is m10 besides remnants of a iron casting

you do realize its pretty much an m10 that is de-stroked, has a dohc head, and boosted? with a little mod i bet you can drop that head on.

just like saying the the s14 is not an m10 besides remnants of an iron casting...you can also drop that head on too with a little mod
                          ?

The blocks were used ones, aquired from customers' cars. From BMW 1502s if memory serves.

And Highly worked; nothing closed to a stock block.

Even a subaru wrc engine is based off a stock block but fitted with internal liners that cost a fortune, nothing original is kept inside a m12 block.

Simply Bolt on a m12 head??? Not really happening; where does the dohc drive come from and dry sump?

Also the cost of m12 set.........not for r3v mortals.
