I knew it was getting bad here, but is it really that bad?

Forbes magazine just named Tulsa the #6 most dangerous city for cities with a population of more than 250k (Tulsa is about 380k, metro area near 1 million).

Granted the vast majority of this crime is confined in North and North-east Tulsa. But that's still a bit disheartening.

EDIT: Just read the story on another site, looks like the first place left some info out. THey included traffic fatalities with crime statistics, which seems a bit odd.

The other issue is they were only considering individual cities so Kansas City, MO was very high too despite the fact that KCMO is only like 20% of the entire metro and most of the rest is white collar shit.

Yeah, I also read that cities like Chicago don't report their statistics.

Well maybe not compiled but they will admit to going something like 9 years before having a day without a murder.

You can find some statistics on crime in Chicago but I don't think they compile a grand total or a percentage. They're at 500 murders this year already according to a buddy of mine who lives there.
