The car ran flawlessly the entire trip (although my CD player died on the way out of Shreveport which made for a long return trip of ~425 miles), didn't burn a single drop of oil, but for some reason only managed about 21-22 mpg.:)
I left Stillwater about 1:30am on my way to Shreveport, LA. I arrived at Clay's house about 8:45am.
Here is Restoman molesting my gas pedal. Note to the wise, if doing any patchwork/welding around the gas pedal, remove it from the base first or you will melt it into the bracket.
That is a gray carpet you spy.......
Clay and his lovely fiance's dog, Rosco
And yes that is a leather fold down seat......
As I post this I just realized I didn't get pics of the mint black leather sport seats or front door cards, so I'll have to do that this afternoon.
I think I've made a fair amount of progress in the 6 months I've had the car, maybe not as much as some of the "balla's", but I'm happy nonetheless.
The car the day after it was delivered to me.
As it sat yesterday covered in 800+ miles worth of bugs and road grime. I painted my "interfooler" just for you Alpine. EDIT: I just realized the smoked signals, don't look very smoked do they....
Now it just needs a new catback, put my new driveline in, get Luke's box, a new deck, shadowline the trim and mirrors, get the BMP brake ducts in where the fogs used to be and Phase 1 will done. Then I will start saving up for Phase 2, a 24v + S/C swap.
