    cable strap part number

    Hey everyone,

I need some help tracking down a BMW part number. I need to replace the cable straps that hold down the hood cable and other electrical cables along the driver side fender in the engine compartment. There are a total of 3, at least on my car, 91 318is. I have ordered 2 other parts to realize they don't work. I did notice 2 other part numbers looking at the ETK. I am providing pics to help the cause. Parts are very cheap and I don't mind trying again, but maybe someone knows for sure the PN.

In the picture, the top is the original. The chassis has holes for this strap to plug it, you can see the butterfly tabs in the original. I then ordered the middle one, which looks like it, but the mounting is different. The chassis would need a little extension, looks like the top of a nail. I use these on my e28 so its not a waste in ordering it. I then ordered the bottom one which looks like the mounting would be ok, haven't tested it. The issue with this one is the length, way shorter than the original. Looking at the ETK closer, it might be part number 61131377134, but this looks to be to long and thick from measurements. The other part number, which might be closer to the original is 61131386117. It looks to have the same style. Just doesn't have measurement on the ETK. I found it under the battery cabling section.

Hopefully someone here knows this part number. If not I will just try again.

    Thanks

I'm not sure of the exact part number but there is a couple of them in this part of the ETK:

      These with releasable zip ties.

Pretty cheap and easy to find, work great for lots of stuff.

Thanks, structure got it I believe with the first link. I was only looking under engine electrical and should have checked under vehicle electrical system.

If I can't find it, will just go with AlarmedBread's idea.
