      Thanks!
Started to do a compression check but it was around 2 am and I kept melting wires so I'll figure it out tomorrow..

Btw, does anyone know which wires go where to jump the starter?

Try hooking your power up in a more... less ghetto manner, lol.

Then take a prybar or something and jump the terminals on the starter... at least that trick works with most 'murican and japanese starters. Got a pic of your starter?

Ghetto is the name of the game! JK I'll give that a shot. I'll get a pic of the starter shortly

yeah that's kinda tight... might have to settle for a screwdriver. I'm referencing the bottom picture here - jump the top two posts.

Just be careful that there's no combustibles around when you do this, cuz this method of 'hot starting' can throw sparks.

Ok I hooked power up the the red wire and the solid white wire. I had the body of the starter grounded and it spun while laying on the floor but when I bolted it up it wouldn't spin. Just the gear would engage

Is your block grounded back to your battery?

I found that I had to engage the bendix before hitting the motor solenoid for it to work. Could that be your issue?

where in Raleigh are you? I'm in five points and would like to check it out sometime.

I think I met you at Oktoberfest. Something about a motor mount...?
