After much deliberation, I've decide to sell this engine. I'm going to build a hot rod M42 and it seems a waste to butcher a good 1 when I have others laying around that need rebuilding.
5/95 car build date. This is the last and best M42. Has the 6mm valve stems / updated chain tensioner and even the lighter M44 rods stock.
If you want to install in an e36, I have all the accessories / intake / etc to reinstall. If you are installing in an e30, I have everything but the oil pans. Whatever you need will be included.
I have the inspection paper dated 4/4/2016 with 94k miles. Carfax shows yearly mileage of ~5k. Car was wrecked 3/26/17. I bought the engine in November and it been inside and oiled ever since.
How much do I want for this little beauty. I'm going to shoot for a grand. If you price out just the timing chain parts or a head rebuild, I don't think I'm way off.
Can meet within a couple hours of Charlotte or ship on a pallet.
