Broken Shifter Boot Ring FIX!!!!

I finally got some time to post on what i did to fix the shifter boot ring that snaps just by looking at it

So i did a search about a month or so on how to fix but i only found someone who fixed it with a picture frame hook such as the one circled

Now i got the same exact idea he did except that made more sense to me and used the picture frame hook that is not circled.

Tools youll need:
Soldering driver
Picture frame hooks from dollar store
Broken shifter

You get the hook and over lap it on the ring such as

And adjust accordingly

Now the most IMPORTANT step is this:

Get the soldering driver and heat the hook till it starts to melt the plastic. Now if you notice some of the plastic goes through the hooks hole (exactly what you want so it acts like some type of lock)

Enjoy!
