I'd have to check back through my records, but I thought there was an Alpina B6 or maybe a C2 that crossed Barrett-Jackson a few years back. Did pretty well if I recall.
May have been a different auction house though.
It looks like back in 2002 an E30 M3 DTM car sold for $47K
