    metal pivot pin

so i'm trying to fit this in and it just won't go in.
Because the hole is tapered for this to wedge in there it's just too big.
The thing protrudes a bit just wondering have any of you guys run into this problem?

i'm guessing just sand it down until it does slide in all the way?
    i got it from condor

According to the directions on mine that i just got its supposed to be tight fit and to just beat it in with hammer but to fit a long 13mm socket over it and hit the socket or an extension

did it go in good or not yet?
i hit the thing with the handle of a dead blow, it just won't go in.
      i'll try a socket

smacking it out the thing shot across the room like a bullet

I have not done my yet. Waiting for some other parts to arrive for the clutch job. That is just what my instructions said to do.

is this "fine"? it will put the clutch up higher but how much higher?
should i just use the plastic one? that's probably like 2mm i'm real tempted to just put it in like that.

That is fine at that height imo. Plus you probably reduced the height a couple mm with all the hammering ;)

That’s fine, on my zf, that’s how far it went with mine, don’t forget, the spring wraps around that as well

I thought it was "fine" too with it protruding 1.5mil but pulling the trans is a bitch.

Polished it up on a drill and spun it around some 2000 grit
got it down to 8.1mil from 8.19.

                all good now.

Did you notice anything in the engagement point?

No, my engagement was fine, driven for almost 20k miles. Separated it earlier this year to swap for ltw flywheel. Everything is fine.
Specs is dual mass flywheel to jb 13lb flywheel. Using stock e36 m3 clutch disc & pressure plate.
