Sorry guys, I bought a 91 318iS parts car and have been dismantling it. Pulled full electrical from it, nice to have a pristine uncut harness that wasn't wet, plus the antenna, abs pump/module, and ECU etc. Between work, this parts car, and preparing to go on vacation later this week I'm busy as hell.Comment

So far Vegas is great, good lord is everything expensive though. I don't vacation well I'd rather be back home working, this trip is mainly for my wife.
Here is a pic from last weekend of the part out of th donor 91 318iS I picked up abandoned on the guys property 10 years ago. Engine threw a rod through both sides of the block and was left in his driveway lol.
I bought some shelving for the garage just before leaving, I have a lot of take off parts to sort, clean and catalog.
What happened to the car the slicktop was cut from?Comment

This past December I was driving the car from northern VA to north FL. When I crossed the state line from VA into NC (2am), I hit a Patch of black ice, going 80mph on I 85. Loss control and pretty much ping ponged in between the hwy rails. I was the only one on the road at the time. Thank god.Originally posted by Jordan View Post

jordan, go check out sin city bmw while you are there. it is located at the old las vegas airport fire station. you will thank me. chris is a great guy. no matter how busy he is, he always seems to take the time for enthusiasts. i would budget at least 3 hours of your time.

Ah, just now saw this. We got into Houston about 2 hours ago, we were supposed to be in just after noon but we were flying home non rev and you know how that goes.
I don't think I would have been able to fit it in anyway, so much to do and so little time. 4 days went like that.Comment

Body shop is slowing down a bit again so I'm about to kick the rolling chassis back over to continue work.
I've been slowly but steadily bringing parts home from work each night. I'm going to leave the seats, engine and big suspension parts there but everything else is coming home.
Shelves are starting to fill.
