more info about switching to a single check valve. If everyone is willing to go to a single check valve then there would only need to be two styles produded to accomodate for the ICV type.

I think it might make sense to make one style, and an adapter kit for those who don't know enough to be able to adapt.

I know I would be willing to change stuff over to that design if it were universal.

I checked pelican parts and bavauto. They sell the check valve for $7. What i can do is order a bunch from blunt and ship them out with the elbows to whoever needs them and make a diy on how to convert to the single check valve.

I was assuming the only difference in ICVs were the shape.

I own 1 of each type car, so I may get to mess around more than that, but whatev...

added style six as an option just for you

I'm in the real LA. Labrea and washington

Also does anyone have some boots to donate? Style 3 and 4 would be prefered as i'm sure they can mock up a 2-5 with just those two. I have three companies that are willing to make them so thats $120 plus shipping overseas just to get concrete quotes. I don't mind fronting that but that will be factored in to the final prices which would be about $10 per boot sold.

I have a style 1 I could donate, but it doesn't seem like you'd really need it.

Does anyone know for sure if the T and L style ICV's are interchangeable, and are they swappable between the i and the e? I don't think switching to the single check valve will be an issue (looks better, anyway), but my ICV is due to be replaced anyway, and if I can swap to newer parts, I would like to do so.

The T and L ICV's for the i motor are definitely interchangeable. Not sure about the e.

So knowing that, I guess my real question now is can you use the i ICV on an e? Since I have the whole i intake system on my car now, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Or I can post and get legitimate reasons as to the benefits of this "mod", which I did. Hell, depending on the benefits, I may decide to buy one. It's not like I said it was a useless pos, jeez. Just wanted to know why it was necessary. Turbo makes perfect sense.

Someone already posted in the thread that SAMCO already makes one.

EDIT: Went and checked real quick, seems to be for an E36 M42, any difference?
