e34 front seat options

Has anyone here swapped out the front seats? I have the comfort style seats now and would like to know if a set of sport seats will fit? If not whats a good alternative?

manual seats and something budget friendly preferably.

I installed convertible sports seats on my wife's e34 they are manual and she loves them lol and makes the ride feel better imo

sport seats from an e30? Did you have to anything with the mounts?

E30 sport seats are too narrow. They would look goofy. Sport seats from a 540/M5 would work though...plug and play...but get your wallet.

Trying to lose some weight so a manual would be nice

Try some E46 sports out of a 4 door. might have to build some adapters but that is pretty easy.

E32 7 seats are visually almost identical, but much more comfortable and programmable, so probably heavier. I'm also interested in other alternatives for my e34 as the seats are just not quite*right imo

I have 7 sezats in my car. I swapped my harness over from my stock seats to the new ones so they work great.

now I gotta pull them out and fix the seat twist.. again :(

So...can someone go into detail about how E32 seats differ from E34 seats? They look identical to the naked eye...but NONE of the parts cross reference.
