E34 535i manual feels very slow? Just me?

If you are going to be carrying a little one in back you should put in a rear shade and a e32 rear consul. The shade helps keep the kid cool and the rear consul is great storage for the kid stuff. I have both and love it. Also when they get a little older (2) they like having the rear reading lights that they can turn off and on.

Seems like you may have fixed the problem, but another thing you can check is your throttle cable. If it has any loose slack try adjusting it so that your throttle resonse will feel a little sharper. I had that problem with my 535 when I first got is turns out that what I thought was 50percent throttle was more like 35-40 percent throttle. After adjusting that the car felt more awake.
