    Whats it worth ? 1991 525I

    Hello everyone

I am wanting to trade up for a newer M3 and am curious what this car is worth nowadays. They seem to be harder and harder to find, especially in this kind of condition. It has about 190k on it, LOTs of new parts. Runs fantastic.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. :)

    Thanks

I'd say around $2500 probably more if it was a manual

Being NV equipped and an auto I'd say $1000-2000 depending on what's been done and what it needs.

This, nobody want an auto e34 as the tranny is a ticking time bomb.
Bought parts from me before? leave your feedback here

I bought my car for $1950 and I think it was a great deal. NV's are bulletproof and the autos are alright.. I have driven the piss outta mine for 6500 miles now and it is at 216,500 miles...

With 190K miles I think the auto transmission is well beyond what would be expected as a ticking time bomb.

Agreed NV's are decent as long you keep up on oil changes. If I was in the market for a nice clean E34 with what appears to be no rust along the bottoms of the doors. I'd would say you might be able to get 2.5K for it easily. Be a decent commuter for someone.

Thanks for all the feedback, all good input. The tranny was just serviced recently and shifts very well. Not sure if it has ever been opened up, when it dies, it will be fixed. Commute about 50-60 miles every day and I LOVE not shifting gears....when Im in the shifting mode, I just drive the Z06. :)

4hp is a great trans as long as you don't revv it up in park or neutral. Otherwise, serviced at regular intervals, and used in a normal, non-hooligan manner you're fine.

How are E34 prices stateside? Are they going up like E30 prices?
Because here, they're bottom of the barrel, 24v B25s start at around $1000... manual, of course...
about as cheap as E36 compacts.

I would guess we are right now at the bottom of E34 pricing...even E28s are going up faster
