M50nv revs to 3k and feels like 2step

searched for hours and found nothing like what I am experiencing. Cold or hot does not matter. When I rev the engine under load or not it will rev to 3k and bounce like it has 2 step. If I keep on the throttle it will rise to 5kish and resume the "2step" behavior. I've tried a new o2 sensor, new filter, vac leaks, cleaned the maf sensor and the problem persists. Any takers? My cel is not functioning as it never ever comes on even briefly when starting.

My car does this exact same thing...been in the shop for 3 months. I tried to find the cause but i'm retarded with electrical issues.

Basically, I'm just subbing to see what is found.

I’d swap Ecu’s with a friend, I’ve seen weird things before.

Drive it around and it will stop. Do you have a check engine light? Mine does it too and my solution is going obd2....

Also I’d look into replacing your throttle position sensor.

SOLVED! for some weird reason I replaced my tps with a "known" good one. Nothin. Gave in and bought a new one and voila. Still got that over heating problem. Ugh this m50 and air bubbles are like gum on my shoe
