1989 BMW E30 325I w/M50 swap
Bronzit Coupe, Tan Interior
H&R sport Springs, recent brake job, just rusty
15x7 Mortegi traklites
PAINT IS NOT FADED, OR OXIDZED, OR PEELING
The swap is nearly done, a friend left the car, as he was transferred out of state for military stuff.
The car when motor was pulled had 134,00 miles or so. ( I was told the ODO got rolled during gear changes?)
And the m50 had around 140k or so.
The owner worked in other states a lot, so it sat working, and running in his driveway for 2 years, then he got transferred, and i got it to store
Swapped with a vanos m50 from an e36.
Harness modified to go right into an e30
260 getrag, with all proper linkage
Booster holes were redrilled and pedal moved left about 1" to keep stock booster.
I have very little free time to finish this for him, that is why its for sale
Basics on what it needs:
Fluids added, cooling system fully installed, and hose clamps put on, slave cylinder installed fully, dipstick installed, intake box and/or cone filter added. Interior needs a quick clean, and just various trim and small pieces screwed on. The M50 came from a running car. Bought from a tech at BMW Portland, he got a car with read end collision, and did the wiring for harness, Exhaust installed, fuel lines hooked up.
I have plummed all the cooling, installed harness to motor, and put the intake, and TB on. It just needs say 20 hours of TLC and a little installation of some parts to work, I just don't have the time.
CONS:
Body is rough in spots, but no major quarter damage type stuff, rear valance needs to be pulled, and 1 fender could use re paint, small flaking near edge where bumper attached, driver seat has a split along bolster. Got a quote of 210$ to get it fixed.
Not a bad canvass for someone on a budget, and not wanting to pay 10,000$ that some people are asking.
Asking price is 4000$ OBO , but do not low ball those offers for 2500$ will not be considered, no trades. Cash only. Will need to be trailered away, due to the few parts not being hooked up. DISCOUNT FOR R3V MEMBERS, and YES IT WILL BE HEFTY
I am sure I am missing stuff, but come look at it to see If it is something you might be interested in. Car is located in Kalama, WA.
Ill grab better pics in the next hour or so
