Made tons of progress tonight. Got the rear sway bar mounted and half of the tar out of the trunk haha. Why does everything have to take so long?! Sway bars are suspension technics with IE rear mounts.

Next I will get the rear subframe in. Revshift bushing in it along with the rest of the car and a 4.10 lsd.

Figured I would post a little about my engine. Always meant too but never did.

So here it is my frankin motor. It is a m42 block with M44 internals.

Then a m42 head. Valves reseated and new seals. 6mm valves.

With s52 cam trays with 32mm lifters.

Had to cut a new oil passage and fill the old one.

With the 6mm valves instead of the 7mm and the 32mm lifter I saved about 2.5 lbs in moving parts in just the head.
          All bolted together.

All that matched with the lightened m20 flywheel make for a pretty responsive motor. Lots of fun.

                        Sub'd for M42 love. Although I don't own a 318i, I wouldn't mid one.

Well the engine didn't make it in today. But thats ok it will give my friend time to fab up the bracket for the power steering pump and me time to modify the steering coupling for my zhp rack. Hopefully next weekend it will go in.

Ok I have a small update. With the help of a good friend from work we fixed my power steering pump mount.

                            Before

                            And after

All with a band saw, drill and grinder. Still need to modify my steering coupling but hopefully engine goes in on Saturday.
