And Arne L. regarding the S Edition, the guy behind E30 meet in Norway had an S Edition at some point.
My first E30 was an S Edition, unfortunately not in original condition, as it had been resprayed in Peugeot orange and fitted with AC Schnitzer parts.

And there's a Vert here in Denmark, which reportedly has a set of extra skirts being held by ACS themselves.

If you look in that previously linked thread, Raul posted a 1985 catalog showing the S Edition options.

It's along the same lines as the later "Designer" edition with the green or purple accented cloth interior. But specific to the model in '85.

Unique, yes, but you'd spend half your time explaining to people what it is. It's kinda like those muscle cars you see at shows that were rare 1 of 3 painted in Plum Crazy, with a 4 speed, 440 six pack and bucket seats but without the hood tach.. or whatever. Every car circle has those weird spec'd models.

Funny they mention how bad BMW's records are from that time - the same with Alpina. Even they didn't have the best records before the E30 models were done. Must have just been a huge cultural shift in the German business world in the early 80's.
The mudflaps on the JPS have been added later.

The big shift through the late 80s and 90s was computers & the internet of course. During the e30 era, the records would have been a series of cards with options ticked off on the production line and hand written VINs, so not the most accurate system. Even when I did my degree in the 90s, libraries were still on card catalogues and microfiche. Took you hours to find a book, dig it out of the library and then read it.

I have a little chuckle & shake my head inside when my students whinge about University assignments now when they have access to instant information, and can word search inside eBooks.

Well, I did see one, and I did see paperwork on it. So sorry your not the only one with an ACS. There's a nice E34 S5 in the Netherlands with a 3,7 silhouette engine, but standard S5 kit, so as I said it all depended on what the customer wanted. Oh, by the way, that one has the paperwork too

Look DUDE, the one who started the asshattery was you, read the last part of your own comment and then read it again. It does come out as some snobby shit.

I did see one, I DID see proof, yes it did cost 6000K, and it was 4 years ago. And no I didn't take pictures.
Prof was a brochure with all engine components listed, a ACS stamp with date, and the last 7 digits of the VIN, and a signature.

Maybe you researched for 4 years, and feel you're the king, but bear in mind others have looked into this for longer.

If you can't take people telling their knowledge, then do us all a favor and don't ask another time around, and don't DM me about ACS things EVER again.

Raul, he's implying that I'm lying about the white ACS I saw for sale 4 years ago. That add on the car is loong gone. The owner did post pics of the car, the german registration papers, and the paperwork on the engine including the last 7 digits of the vin in the papers, and that vin did match the vin of the car. Papers were stamped AC Schnitzer, a date, and a signature from someone. I can't remember the name of the signature, since it's 4 years ago. But the car was genuine, no doubt about it. And it was Aachen/ACS built, not Rossiters.

I am so frikin tired of you two and your spouting out ACS rubbish and when someone actually shows up with the most unique, authentic and beautiful car it has to be about this!!!!!!! And then you change posts and hide you BS.

I would love to get together and categorize the ACS history and stop fighting and acting like kids. We have the same love of the brand. But if you want to I can do this forever. You have no idea what else I have found out and would love to discus but its going to be about facts, dates and pictures no BS.

Can you explain why you keep posting about your ACS touring on every board? Are you advertising for your BAT auction? I don't think allot of people on r3v are going to be interested in spending 150k or whatever you're asking...

Isn't it obvious? He isn't here to contribute anything except why his cars are so great. He's only active when one of his "special" cars are for sale, then it's all about his car that he found somewhere. Cars so special that he only keeps them a few years.

George is it? I'm all for educating and contributing to the community but you are rubbing people the wrong way when you antagonize people referring to them as "so called experts." The more you say, the more you come off as an asshat and personally I'd have a hard time giving an asshat my hard earned money. You are talking to long time enthusiast owners here, not collectors. Keep that in mind.

Truly, and while I can appreciate the passion or desire to sell the car that George has, it got old after the third time I saw the car in yet another thread.
