Shipping a valence - any experience??

Does anyone on here have any experience shipping a late model valence?

What carrier did you use and what was the cost?

    Best method for packaging?

I have...I used UPS... Where are you shipping to? You may have to ship "irregular" due to the shape of the packaging..

I made box frame from 1"x2" from Home Depot, screwed it together, stapled cardboard panels to each side, and taped the seams. I just padded the valence with crumpled newspaper. I used FedEx ground and it was really cheap. The valence is super light, and my box hardly weighed anything at all.

It would actually be coming to me. Distance wise it would only be 350 miles. Can you guys remember a rough estimate of how much it cost?
