this tax happens at point of sale only.

    that's a sales tax.
Well, gas tax is a use tax that happens at a point of sale.

But I agree, this is a sales tax.

You mean it's really just a way to drive up consumer prices to add minimum wage jobs.

In the PNW, you don't have the glorious gas stations/convenience stores that are QuikTrip.

We have Maverik stores, which I found to be better than QuikTrip, Valero, Stripes, etc.

Truth, I miss the quick trips not being in the midwest anymore. However, Race track down here has been growing by leaps and bounds and seem to be a close copy of the QT

Yeah, that's why wherever there is a QT, Flying Js (also a Maverik store brand) has gone out of business.

No, because QT dramatically erodes market share of other stores in every market they move into.

It just sucks they aren't in OKC because of a gentleman's agreement between the founder of QT and the founder of Love's.

As much as I don't like government/taxes, I don't see an issue with this. Cyclist use the roads but aren't really paying for them in the same capacity as those in registered vehicles. Sure, this is a once off sales tax rather than a pay as you go usage tax but it's something.

All those gas stations are mediocre compared to the midwests 'Kwik Trip' which are the only gas stations I visit when back at college. They are updated basically every couple years and have super nice facilities, food, etc. They also have beer coolers with lots of options lol.

Nah flying J isn't a Maverik. Flying J is owned by Pilot/Love's. There are not really any Flying J's left here either. Maveriks and Jacksons stores have pushed them out. We don't even have 7/11s here.

looks like you have a hard time admitting your own mistakes
