oh nice, those are 245/40 rc1s! I thought you plunked down for Hoosiers but it looks like they finally released the 245 maxxis.

keep us updated man, I'm super excited to see these fit.

Are you running a 20mm spacer up front?

yup. Everything clears, I just can't turn left all the way. I had a splitter mounted up front but had an incident on track that bent my splitter and valence rearwards.

Exactly, plus a lot of effort to run a tire that will be slower than a 225 R6 or Toyo RR.Be great if the 245 starting being produced from other tire makers but I don't see that happening.

I'm waiting until early January to pull my front fenders. This is my only car/dd and I think it's gonna look like shit with only 225s on 15x8 up front. I am planning on a Buttonwillow track day end of January and will have feedback and pictures shortly. It's time for the holidays!!

I expect to be in the low 1:59s, maybe 1:58s at BW 13CW with no aero on the RC-1s. 2:00.9 happened recently with about 10 event old RS3s.

Sorry everyone, but I'm waiting until it gets a little closer to the start of the season to pick up a set of 275 Hoosiers. I'll have an update on tire fitment. As of right now, based on my measurements and test fitment with just the wheels it seems like they will fit with my 25mm spacers up front and 20mm in the rear. Fenders? Nah. I'll update with pics once I have tires on the wheels.

Where are you getting hub centric 25mm spacers?

Still going to agree that the car isn't going to drive well or fast at all with all of that grip. E46's run into problems when running that big of an r-comp tire. Your cars suspension was never designed to handle that.
I bet money you will be faster with 15x8's and 235 width tires. Way lighter too!
