Stuck idle/throttle on S14 after warmed up

Hi all, I'm experiencing an issue where after the car is warmed up and driven in any spirited manner, the idle/throttle seem to get stuck several hundred RPM higher than normal.

Checked the tightness on the throttle cable, and all looked okay. I had a shop confirm this issue as well, and they couldn't see to find any direct cause, but acknowledged that the car was getting stuck.

    Has anyone here experienced this?

You need to install throttle cable clips to prevent this.

    Cut the protruding piece off.

Are your throttle cables fully intact or have they developed the usual cracks behind the tightness adjustment mechanism?
