1991 M42 Backfiring not runing PLEASE HELP

hey guys i have a 1991 cabrio m42
started running really bad now it wont run at all
i have spark in all 4
fuel pump works
fuel pump relay is good
changed spark plugs

cleaned ICV

no check engine light

im going crazy
any tips?

Vacuum leak check!
Also depending on how the backfiring is, even though the fuel pump works, it might be dying and not supplying enough fuel. Not going on much info that you've given, technically an engine can "backfire" either in too lean or too rich situations. More commonly too rich situations.
