Chinese GT2871 was bought. Maybe this winter some more serious work will start.

what is your plan for turbo manifold? I would love to find one that doesn't cost $500 and actually fits the e30 chassis...

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.

My plan is probably the cheapest possible solution.

2 cuts and 2-3 welds on these:

(center ones, M52 without air egr etc)

Put flipped up, putting the turbo near oil cap, must double check the space because the 2871 isn't so small like I thinked and I don't want that it knocks on the bonnet.

Don't remember well how was the exact plan (where to cut and how to join them) and on which of two manifold will go the flange but when I gave a look months ago it seemed almost perfect and possible.

In base of turbo size and placement the manifolds can be joined differently (2+2, 3+1).

Was really happy when I found this out :)

Not the best solution, but can't be done in simplier and cheaper way.

Also will use a reinforcement bracket on the head for avoiding cracks.
