    M3 Interior question

    Hello.

I am looking to convert a non leather E30 M3 into leather.
From what I know is that the front seats style is E30 M3 specific, or the same or very similar to Vert seats?

    I know rear is M3 specific 100%.

What about door trims? From what I see any coupe door trims will fit M3, but M3 does not have the little "Circle" cap/cover thing on the front trims, I think just like Vert Front trims.

Any advice would be appreciated. Oh and if anybody happens to have a Full M3 interior, whether be black or cream/tan or maybe can send me the right direction.... please PM me.

    Thanks.

The M3 seats are specific. The convertible front seats are similar but still different. There are no differences in M3 door panels and coupe non-M3 panels. That circle cap thing was on cars 1988 and older. Cars 1989 and up did not have it.

Vert seats have short knob handles on the outside and are placed lower on the seat, compared to m3 seats.

Front and rear Door panels are the same from non m to m (coupes)

      Rear seat is completely different

        Front seats

I am looking at possibly buying an M3, and I want to make sure the seats are propper to the M car.

How can you tell if the front seats are the M seats or standard coupe/sedan seats?

Does anyone have pictures of the differences?

Left = M3 or cabrio seat. Right = standard sedan/coupe seat.

The left seat in the above photo is from a vert. The M3 seat handles are higher up on the sides of the seat, near the top horizontal stitch line in the seat back.

You can put cabrio front seat covers on a standard coupe seat and then they are the same. The only difference between a cabrio and an M3 seat is the location of the lever on the side.

It is the location and the length of the handle. E30 M3 specific handles stick out about 3" or so. There are minor differences in door panels, I do not know if it is just due to different production years or m3 specific, but it is barely noticeable. Obviously the m3 seats are harder to find and more expensive, but they are worth it for resale value. If using the car then regular sport seats will work find. I have complete e30 m3 seats and other stuff for sale here and on s14.
